Karen Anson retrieves a bottle of milk from a wall panel, then turns to talk to Jackson. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
“What’s the baby’s name, Mister Jackson?” asks Anson.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“You the nurse?” asks Jackson.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“Uh-huh,” says Anson. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Jackson looks at her isolation suit. “Shoot,” says Jackson, “Can’t see your legs.” Karen smiles at him and walks back to tend to the baby. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
“Do you know the baby’s name?” asks Hall. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
“Give us a butt first,” says Jackson. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
“Smoking isn’t allowed here,” says Hall.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“Then, go fish,” says Jackson, turning his head away from Hall.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Hall walks over to Anson, who is feeding the baby. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
“When you’re finished,” says Hall, “we’ll transfuse Jackson and start ice water lavage. He has a two-year history of bleeding ulcers.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“You seem delighted,” says Anson.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“It may be the reason he survived,” says Hall. He looks at the baby. “If only our young gourmet weren’t so normal.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
