Karen Anson appears with a syringe in her hand. As she looks at Leavitt on the floor, she slows her approach.
“Come on, come on – she can’t hurt you,” says Hall.
“Wasn’t she with Dr. Dutton?” asks Karen.
“No,” says Hall. “It’s epilepsy. Give her the injection. She’ll be alright.” He stands. “Good girl. Thanks,” says Hall, running down the corridor.
On a monitor, Dutton talks to Stone. “I’m scared,” says Dutton. “Oh Lord, I’m scared!”
“You’ll be okay, Charlie,” says Stone. “We’re pumping pure oxygen through your lab now. We know Andromeda doesn’t do well in oxygen.”
Hall enters Stone’s lab. “He’s alive!” says Hall, looking at the monitor.
“Where have you been?” asks Stone.
“Leavitt had a seizure,” explains Hall.
“What?” says Stone. He cuts off the audio to Dutton.
“Epilepsy,” says Hall. “The red light, flashing at three per second brought on a fit. Why the hell didn’t she tell us about it?”
“Probably no top lab would have her if they knew,” says Stone. “Insurance, prejudice, and all that crap.”
“We’re in the middle ages,” says Hall. He continues to look at Dutton on the monitor. “It’s amazing he’s still alive.”
“It’s been three minutes,” says Stone, nodding at the clock on the wall. “He’s on pure oxygen. I don’t know how long that can hold him.”
Stone turns Dutton’s audio back on. “We’re…uh, working on some ideas,” says Stone.
