Jackson fades into a stupor. Hall rubs the sides of Jackson’s head.
“Stay awake, Mister Jackson. Stay awakes,” says Hall. The baby continues to cry. Jackson is unresponsive.
The beds rotate, and Hall is presented with the crying baby.
“Tongue blade,” says Hall. Anson hands Hall a tongue depressor. Hall feels the baby’s lymph nodes under the chin while the baby continues to wail. He tries to examine the baby’s throat with a tongue depressor, and the baby yells louder. Anson smiles, watching Hall struggling to examine the baby.
“You can tell you’re a bachelor,” says Dutton, on the video intercom.
“What was that?” asks Hall, confused.
